Where is Pine Meadow? (Somewhere between Satan's Kingdom and the Pleasant Valley*)
Pine Meadow is a section of New Hartford and lies just east its center on Route 44, approximately 25 miles west of Hartford, capital of Connecticut. A rural community, New Hartford was settled in 1733 and is situated on the watershed of the Farmington River. It is nestled in the scenic Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut.
Pine Meadow boasts a "village green" utilized year-round by various civic organizations for activities such as Christmas tree sales & craft shows. The Town of New Hartford erects a temporary ice skating rink on the green during the winter.
*Satan's Kingdom is a recreational area on the east edge of town. Pleasant Valley is a village about 5 miles to the northwest.
